England’s men, led by Commonwealth Games gold medallists Liam Pitchford and Paul Drinkhall, will battle Serbia and France on two amazing evenings of top-class international sport in Crawley on Thursday January 26 and Friday January 27.

The K2 venue will be transformed into a sporting arena of almost 600 seats, each with a superb view of the high-octane action and packed with fans creating a rocking atmosphere to spur England on to victory in the ETTU European Team Championships matches.

It won’t be easy as Serbia and France have some of the best players in Europe at their disposal – but so do England!

Liam and Paul will be joined in the squad for these qualifying ties by Sam Walker, Tom Jarvis and David McBeath, putting them at full strength for what will be two spellbinding nights of family entertainment.

England got their qualifying campaign off to the perfect start with victory away to Serbia earlier this month, and Liam’s certainly hoping that a passionate home crowd can make all the difference to the England team.

He said: “I’m sure there’ll be a good crowd and a there’ll be a buzz around it – I’m looking forward to it.

“A crowd helps a lot, especially when you’re playing team matches. It can give us a few extra points and can turn matches around for us, and I enjoy playing in that environment.”
