With summer upon us and the Commonwealth Games on home soil, we’re anticipating an increased interest in all things table tennis this year, particularly play taking place on the country’s network of free to play outdoor public tables as well as at table tennis clubs.

That’s why this summer, Table Tennis England’s Ping! programme, will once again work with StreetTT to welcome the public to the table and play amongst a community of like-minded individuals.

So, what is StreetTT?

StreetTT was started in 2020 by two programmers just looking for a game of table tennis. The app unites all players in a single community.

StreetTT is the first ever mobile and web application to connect urban table tennis players in a worldwide online table tennis game and gives players a way to find and create events, to submit their match results by scanning their opponent’s QR code and to discover a world of street tournaments.

Match results provide the basis for a universal Elo rating and detailed game statistics for each player.

Players can view how they rank out of their city, club, country and globally while collecting virtual rubbers for real world activity.
