In the lead up to the National Championships and the Pride of Table Tennis Awards, I wanted to use this month’s blog as an opportunity to focus on the fantastic work that volunteers continue to undertake within Table Tennis.
During the 2024 National Championships, I was fortunate to be involved in organising the Pride of Table Tennis Awards alongside a couple of my colleagues and I was blown away by the commitment and dedication shown by all of the nominated volunteers.
During the early months of 2025 and with the Pride of Table Tennis Awards taking on an area focus for this year, it has been fantastic to look over all of the nominations for the East and in every case, had to come to a difficult decision to decide who to progress through to the national categories.
As such, I would like to take this opportunity to say well done and thank you to Stilton Table Tennis Club, Harvey Stevens, Jiten Gopal and Zygis Kaminskas for winning the respective area awards and progressing forward to the national awards.
I would also like to extend my congratulations to all of the nominations for the East and say a personal and heartfelt thanks to all of the nominated individuals and clubs.
