Momentum Continues to Build
The South West table tennis community is still riding high on a wave of growth, with new initiatives and success stories cropping up across the region. From coach development to inclusive play, the coming season promises even more opportunities to develop table tennis.
Looking forward to the start of the new season, I have been in many conversations with volunteers reflecting on last season and busily putting plans in place for 2025 / 26. From administering new memberships to developing new projects, club administrators are beavering away.
A World-Class Legacy
The World Championships in May next year present a special opportunity to inspire players and the non-players alike. As well as the opportunity to watch and volunteer at the event, Table Tennis England is devising a legacy programme to keep that global energy flowing at local level. Details are still under wraps, but expect a mix of youth engagement, community events, and opportunities to try the sport in new settings, exploring the wider benefits of table tennis for good.

Ultra League: Inclusive Play Expands
The Ultra League in St Austell continues to deliver competitive fun for players with learning disabilities — proving that table tennis really is a sport for everyone. The league is funded by Mencap’s Our Active Community Seed Fund and supported by Day Centres and the wider Learning Disability community.
Plans are already in motion to start sessions hosted by Cheltenham TTC working closely with Active Gloucestershire, so even more players can get involved.
