Four young England athletes will travel to Sweden to compete at the European Under-13 Championships in September.
Double national champion Amber Lemmon, who won the under-12 and under-13 titles at the Mark Bates Ltd U10-13 National Championships this season, will compete in the girls’ singles, along with Assil Sarri.
Competing in the boys’ singles will be under-12 national champion Dimitar Dimitrov and under-13 national champion Sinan Surensoy.

As well as singles, the competition features mixed team and mixed doubles competitions – the doubles pairings will be Dimitrov & Lemmon and Surensoy & Sarri.
The squad will be coached by Charlotte Carey and Ben Barlow.
Head of Pathway Development Emma Vickers said: “The European U13 Championships is the pinnacle event for our best U13 players, representing the highest level of continental competition in this age category.
“It is a chance for our players to test themselves against the best in Europe and provides a step to higher-level European competition. We wish all of our players the very best of luck in the event.”
The competition takes place in Kosta, Sweden, from 24-28 September.
