Worthing TTC is seeking to strengthen and diversify its Board with two new individuals who wish to serve as directors and support the direction for the next phase of the clubs development.
The successful candidates will join Worthing TTC at an exciting time. We are committed to equality, diversity and are particularly interested in candidates who can enhance our outlook on the community through either their lived experience or through knowledge and skills acquired.
We particularly encourage applications from individuals within groups which are currently underrepresented within our Board, namely candidates who identify with different gender attributes, from an ethnically diverse background and/or individuals with a disability or long-term health condition, and/or those at any stage of their career.
We are interested in candidates who have a passion for and experience in grassroots sport. In particular those who are able to support Worthing TTC to connect with school networks, build charity partnerships and deliver health and wellbeing in the community. Knowledge of media and communications or financial modelling and accounting are also desirable.
The successful candidates will feel comfortable and confident to challenge the current culture in order to set clear progressive direction and vision. The candidates need also to demonstrate integrity, sound judgement, emotional intelligence, personal presence, communication, and flexibility along with the willingness to devote the necessary voluntary time.
It is expected that directors will meet 3 -4 times per year to give strategic steer and maintain clear and consistent leadership for the club and its members.
