Boys’ Doubles

Harry Randall & Max Radiven

In the battle of the last two Cadet Boys winning pairs, the left-right combination of Max Radiven & Harry Randall defeated Abraham Sellado & Kacper Piwowar to add the higher age group.

The victors were always in control, taking the trophy with a 3-0 (11-5, 11-9, 11-4) win which denied Sellado a double, having taken the singles gold earlier.

With Ralph Pattison’s withdrawal removing the top seeds from the draw – his partner was Isaac Kingham – the semi-finalists in the top half were Prayrit Ahluwalia & Angad Saggu, who beat Parsa Yamin & Shahuraj Nimse in four in the preliminary round, and then got a bye in the quarters.

They faced 2023 Cadet champions Radiven & Randall in the semis and it was 3-1 (11-3, 11-6, 10-12, 11-5) to the R&R team.

Sellado & Piwowar also won in four – 11-8, 5-11, 11-9, 12-10 against Adam Alibhai & Rohan Dani.

Adam Alibhai & Rohan Dani

Radiven & Randall beat the Nguyen twins Hugo & Leo in four in the quarter-finals and, at the same stage, it was four games as Alibhai & Dani overcame Aarav Parihar & Sinan Surensoy.

The other quarter saw Sellado & Piwowar progress in three (7, 8, 8) against Dimitar Dimitrov & Ryan Goodier.

In the preliminary round, the tightest match saw Parihar & Surensoy come back to beat Zac Greenhough & Louis Cheung-Turner 3-2 (10-12, 14-12, 1-11, 11-6, 11-6).

Girls’ Doubles

Sienna Jetha & Ella Pashley

Ella Pashley & Sienna Jetha teamed up after meeting each other in the singles final – and they lived up to top seeding by taking the title.

It was singles champion Pashley’s second trophy of the day, and the third time in a row she had won this event, having taken gold alongside Mabel Shute in 2023 and 2024.

The defeated finalists were Eva Eccles & Mia Lakhani, who had their moments but not the sustained quality as Pashley & Jetha won it 3-0 (11-6, 11-9, 11-7).

The girls’ podium

In the semi-finals, Eccles & Lakhani needed only three to beat Bly Twomey & Alyssa Nguyen (8, 7, 3), while it took four for Pashley & Jetha to see off Luna Archard & Jonabel Taguibao – 3-1 (11-4, 9-11, 11-6, 11-8) the score in that one.

The tightest quarter-final saw Twomey & Nguyen claim a 3-2 (8-11, 11-5, 8-11, 11-7, 11-5) win over Assil Sarri & Soraya Rahmani-Walentynska.

Akshita Subramanium & Chui-Que Wong

The others were all done in three – Pashley & Jetha beating Chui-Que Wong & Akshita Subramanium, Archard & Taguibao getting past Caron Charles & Calina Dawson and Eccles & Lakhani overcoming Sophie Ackred & Evie Knaapen.

There was only one preliminary round tie, in which Wong & Subramanium defeated Zeina Negm & Zoe Gonpot in four.

Mixed Doubles

Isaac Kingham & Ella Pashley

Ella Pashley completed a glorious treble as she & Isaac Kingham, the top seeds, won the title with a 3-1 (11-9, 7-11, 11-5, 11-8) victory over Kacper Piwowar & Sienna Jetha.

In the semi-finals, Piwowar & Jetha beat Abraham Sellado & Eva Eccles – denying Sellado a shot at winning a hat-trick of trophies. The score was 3-1 (9-11, 13-11, 11-8, 11-6).

The other semi saw Kingham & Pashley come through 3-0 (11-9, 11-7, 11-5) against Angad Saggu & Jonabel Taguibao.

Sellado & Eccles had to battle past Harry Randall & Luna Archard in the quarter-finals, staving off a comeback by their opponents to finally prevail 3-2 (11-6, 11-5, 10-12, 5-11, 11-9).

Jonabel Taguibao & Angad Saggu

Saggu & Taguibao got past Wajid Wafiq & Brooke Morris in four, while it was three straight for top seeds Kingham & Pashley against Dimitar Dimitrov & Julia Tokova and for second seeds Piwowar & Jetha against Parsa Yamin & Soraya Rahmani-Walentynska – though it was 15-13 in the first.

There were two close matches in the first round, Dimitrov & Tokova coming out on top 3-2 (11-3, 7-11, 11-7, 9-11, 11-9) in a see-saw clash with Leo & Alyssa Nguyen, and Yamin & Rahmani-Walentynska beating Louis Cheung-Turner and Mia Longman 3-2 (4-11, 11-7, 13-11, 4-11, 12-10).

Piwowar & Jetha were pushed by Brighton pair Ryan Goodier & Bly Twomey in the first game, but won that and went on to complete a 3-0 (16-14, 11-6, 11-7) victory.
