At the Graham Spicer under-19 1* there were a lot of quality matches, especially in Band 1. Players came from Sussex, Kent and Surrey to compete.
Nathaniel Smith (pictured above) won Band 1 after a three-way countback, meaning that top seed Arnav Sharma came second, Ernie Kemp third and Finlay Aitken just missed out.
Hojeong Yoon, seeded fifth, won all of his matches to win Band 2. Thomas Otterbu came second and Aryan Sarma came third.
In Band 3, fourth seed Mateusz Niedzielak won all of his matches. Ibrahim Umar came second on countback and Luke Higginson was third, as Ibrahim beat Luke 11-7 in the fifth set in their match against each other.
Kostiantyn Motovilin was the top seed in Band 4 and he swept all before him as he won all his matches dropping just two sets all day. Priyansh Solanki came second on countback with Daniel Carter third.
It was a first tournament for all the players in Band 5. Luca Pietrangeli won the event without dropping a set. Aiden Zhang came second and third and fourth place was decided on countback in favour of Arthur Wong.
