Yorkshire TTA celebrated winning an unprecedented six County Championships divisional titles at a presentation evening at the Great Victoria hotel, Bradford.

Around 90 guests attended and YTTA president Richard Scruton welcomed Table Tennis England President Jill Parker MBE and chief executive Sally Lockyer, English national champion Tin-Tin Ho, Lancashire TTA President Don Parker, ETTU Vice-President (Finances) Sandra Deaton and County Championships Chair Neil Hurford.

Also present were YTTA life members Brenda Hudson and Bevan Walker, together with past senior first-team players Cindy Hall (Blackshaw), Pat Bassano (Dainty), Melody Svenson (Ludi), Julie Stich (McLean), Sylvia Worth (Broadbent) and Nicola Smith.

The contribution of Janet Adams, Shane Bradley and Tim Dyson to the success of the county teams was acknowledged enthusiastically.

YTTA life membership was awarded to Hans Soova BEM for his past service to county coaching, centre of excellence leadership, and county and national player development. It was announced that YTTA Vice-Presidencies were awarded to Tim Dyson (Huddersfield), Helen Shields (Bradford) and Alan Dickinson (Halifax).

The winners of the YTTA awards were announced: The LE Forrest Memorial Award to Abraham Sellado, the Hudson Award to Shane Bradley, the JA Cram Junior Award to Luke Lowther and the George Turton Memorial Cadet Award to Phoebe O’Brien.

As of the end of the 2024/25 season, Yorkshire and Middlesex have each won 116 County Championship divisional titles since 1947. Yorkshire will participate in all five age group Premier Divisions in the 2025-26 season.
